Arkansas Tech University Fishing Club members Jordan Mullenix and Evan Smith finished 22nd in the 2012 Carhartt College Series National Championship.
The tournament began on Wednesday, July 25, on the Arkansas River near Little Rock. It continued the next day on Lake Maumelle.
Over the course of two days, Mullenix (photographed, left) and Smith (photographed, right) brought in five qualifying bass weighing a total of 6 pounds, 13 ounces.
That put them well within the top half of the 55-team field, but it fell short of making the cut for the final day of the event. Only the top five teams advanced to the final round of competition on Friday, July 27.
