The University of Central Missouri collected 17 base hits and ended Arkansas Tech University’s four-game baseball winning streak by defeating the Wonder Boys 9-3 in a non-conference game at Warrensburg, Mo., on Tuesday.
Harrison Schnurbusch went 2-for-3 with a home run and four runs batted in to lead the way offensively for the Mules (23-11).
UCM reliever Conor Dryer (2-1) allowed one run over two and one-third innings and was credited as the winning pitcher.
Dylan McDearmon was 3-for-5 and scored all three of the Wonder Boys’ runs.
Starting pitcher Drake Norton (4-2) took the loss for Arkansas Tech. He surrendered five runs on 11 hits over five innings.
The Wonder Boys (25-14) will host Southern Arkansas University for a three-game Great American Conference series at Carl Baswell Field in Russellville on Sunday, April 14, and Monday, April 15.
First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday and 1 p.m. Monday.
