Southern Arkansas University assembled a four-run rally in the top of the eighth inning to fuel a 9-6 non-conference baseball win over Arkansas Tech University at Tech Field in Russellville on Tuesday.
The score was tied 5-5 after seven innings, but Jacob Richardson’s run-scoring single for the Muleriders in the top of the eighth put them in front for good.
Tech’s Seth Pollard went 3-for-5 at the plate, while Mark Vaughn and Korey Thompson had two runs batted in apiece for the Wonder Boys (21-12).
Arkansas Tech is scheduled to visit Southeastern Oklahoma State University for a three-game Great American Conference series in Durant, Okla., on Friday, April 6, and Saturday, April 7.
