Mudrinich Earns Faculty Award for Teaching

David Mudrinich was presented with the 2012 Arkansas Tech University Faculty Award of Excellence in the teaching category during spring commencement ceremonies at John E. Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Saturday, May 12.

Mudrinich (photographed, left) received the award from Arkansas Tech President Dr. Robert C. Brown (photographed, right) during the 10 a.m. ceremony.

A member of the Arkansas Tech faculty since 1998, Mudrinich holds the rank of associate professor of art.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in art education from Pennsylvania State University in 1976 and a Master of Fine Arts degree in art from the University of Georgia in 1992.

Mudrinich previously received the Arkansas Tech Faculty Award of Excellence in the scholarship and creative activity category in 2005.

His works have been displayed in such venues at the Butler Institute of American Art, the Carnegie Art Center, the Arkansas Art Center and the Clinton Presidential Center.

Mudrinich teaches courses in drawing and painting at Arkansas Tech.  

The Arkansas Tech Faculty Awards of Excellence were established in 1996. To be eligible, a faculty member must be tenured and hold the current rank of associate professor or professor.
