Arkansas Tech’s Sara Motsinger is the Great American Conference volleyball offensive player of the week for Tuesday, Oct. 2.
It is the second GAC offensive player of the week award this season for Motsinger (photographed), a junior middle blocker from Normal, Ill.
Motsinger notched 35 kills against just six attack errors last week. She also made 11 blocks while helping the Golden Suns pick up GAC wins over Ouachita Baptist, Southeastern Oklahoma State and East Central. Her hitting percentage for the week was .426.
The Golden Suns (15-5 overall, 5-1 GAC) will return to action on Friday, Oct. 5, with a pair of non-conference matches at the Peggy Martin Challenge in Warrensburg, Mo. Tech will face Pittsburg State at 3 p.m. and Central Missouri at 7 p.m.
