Arkansas Tech University student Hannah Morgan has been selected by the National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM) for a NARM Outstanding Achievement Award scholarship.
Morgan (photographed), a senior early childhood education major, was eligible for the award because she is employed by a NARM member — Hastings Entertainment of Russellville.
But earning the scholarship wasn’t as simple as filling out an application. College students from around the nation applied for the award, which was given on a competitive basis to just four students.
“I believe it is quite an accomplishment,” said Morgan. “I was among several college students that applied for the scholarship and they found me worthy of the scholarship. I think that’s awesome. It has definitely been a great help toward paying for school.”
Morgan will graduate from Arkansas Tech in May. She plans to pursue a career in education.
“My plans after May consist of finding a job and enjoying the experience of being a first-year teacher,” said Morgan. “Eventually, I would like to go to graduate school for a master’s degree in school counseling.”
