River Valley residents will be able to get a jump on their holiday shopping as The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Arkansas River Valley host “Mistletoe Market – Shop for a Cause” this weekend.
This is the third year for the event, and more than 50 merchants from across the River Valley will be on hand with a large variety of items for sale.
The event is taking place from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the L.V. Williamson Boys and Girls Club. Admission to the event is $5, which covers a weekend pass to the shopping event.
Tonight there will be a special preview event. Tickets to attend the preview event are $25, and in addition to shopping, the preview party will feature appetizers and entertainment.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Arkansas River Valley, and last year’s market raised more than $25,000.
“When you visit the Boys and Girls Club and you see the kids, it brings it to life. It is all about giving the kids a safe place to go after school and allowing the Boys and Girls Club to have all of the wonderful programs they have for kids of all ages,” said Gaye Croom, event chair.
