Arkansas Tech University students wishing to learn more about competing in the Miss Arkansas Tech pageant will be able to attend an informational session later this month.
The informational session is scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 18, at 7 p.m. in Dean Hall Room 121.
Students attending the session will receive information regarding how to fill out the required paperwork, how to select a critical issue and how to register in the online system.
Additionally, Miss Tech 2010 Lindsey Ahrens will be on hand to discuss the pageant and her viewpoint as a contestant.
Organizers say the meeting is not mandatory, but it is encouraged for those who are considering entering.
The Miss Tech Scholarship Pageant is an official preliminary for the Miss America Pageant, and Miss Tech will compete in the 2011 Miss Arkansas Pageant this July in Hot Springs.
The Delta Zeta Sorority at Arkansas Tech sponsors the pageant, and Dr. Jim Collins, professor of horticulture, serves as pageant executive director and master of ceremonies.]]>
