Miss Tech Informational Session Nov. 15

Eligible Arkansas Tech University students interested in learning more about the 2017 Miss Arkansas Tech University Scholarship Pageant are invited to attend an informational session on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in Dean Hall room 103. Dr. Jim Collins, executive director of the Miss Tech Pageant and professor of agriculture, and Carly Copeland, Miss Tech 2016, will lead the session and be available to answer questions.

It is not mandatory that an individual attend this meeting in order to enter the pageant.

The 62nd annual Miss Tech Pageant is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 17, 2017. The event is an official preliminary to the Miss America Pageant, and the winner will compete in the 2017 Miss Arkansas Pageant.

Contestants in the Miss Tech Pageant must be full-time female Tech students between the ages of 17 and 24.

The new Miss Tech will receive a two-semester tuition scholarship at Arkansas Tech. In all, more than $26,000 in gifts and scholarships were awarded during the 2016 Miss Tech Pageant.
