Miss Tech Application Deadline Soon

 

Young women interested in becoming Miss Tech 2011 have until Tuesday, Feb. 8 to register for the competition to be held on Friday, Feb. 25.

One lucky lady who wins the crown and the title of Miss Tech 2011 will represent Arkansas Tech in Hot Springs this July at the Miss Arkansas Pageant.

Several thousand dollars in scholarships will be awarded at the pageant and the winner will receive a two-semester tuition scholarship for 12 hours each semester in addition to other cash scholarships and prizes. Read about all of the Miss Tech extras.

The competition consists of a private interview, physical fitness in swimsuit, artistic expression in talent, and poise in evening gown and on-stage question.

Contestants must submit a photo, copy of birth certificate and a current transcript with the local pageant forms found on the Miss Arkansas Pageant website.

Additionally, contestants need to register to raise $100 for Children’s Miracle Network, which is the national platform of the Miss America Organization.

The Miss Arkansas Pageant is an official preliminary to the Miss America Pageant, which makes available more than $45 million in scholarships, making it the leading provider of scholarships for women in the United States.

The pageant is sponsored by the ladies of Delta Zeta.
