Arkansas Tech University will host Military Appreciation Day in conjunction with its Saturday, Nov. 3, home football game against East Central University at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field in Russellville.
There will be a pre-game tailgating reception outside the stadium for all veterans, military personnel and their families from noon-2 p.m. under the ATU alumni tent on Centennial Plaza. Representatives from ATU Veterans Upward Bound will display a wall of honor on the plaza during pre-game festivities.
All current military and veterans will receive free admission for the Great American Conference football game between the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys and the ECU Tigers, which will begin at 2 p.m.
Veterans and military personnel will be recognized on the field during the pre-game performance of the national anthem.
