Faculty, staff and students at Arkansas Tech University are invited to attend a civilian response to active shooter informational session during the month of January.

Two identical sessions will be offered by the ATU Department of Public Safety and the ATU Division of Student Affairs, one on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m. and the other at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16. Both will take place in the Doc Bryan Student Services Center room 242.

Psychology of disaster response, active shooter events by the numbers and what each individual should do in response to an active shooter are among the topics that will be discussed.

Departments are invited to send e-mail to mwhorton1@atu.edu to schedule training on departmental emergency planning and related topics.
