Meeting Announced for Spring Break Trip to Europe

 

Anyone in the Tech community interested in traveling to Europe have a unique opportunity to make the trip at a more affordable rate, while learning about European history.

Dr. Jan Jenkins, European historian and seasoned traveler, will hold a meeting in Ross Pendergraft Library Room 325 on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 2 p.m.

Anyone who is 18 years of age or older and interested in spending Spring Break 2012 in Rome, Florence and Venice is invited to attend the meeting.

Dr. Jenkins has been leading spring break trips to Europe for the members of the Arkansas Tech and Russellville communities since 1999.

The ten-day trip, arranged through EF College Study Tours, will cost approximately $3,700, and a payment plan is available through EF.

Tour costs include round-trip flights from/to Little Rock, hotels with private baths, tour bus transportation, high-speed train travel to/from Florence and to Venice, a full-time tour guide, breakfasts, 3 dinners, and entrance to attractions.

There will be visits to the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica, among other events.

Additionally, an optional excursion to Pompeii is available.
