Meeting About China Trip Tuesday

Any student, faculty member or friend of Arkansas Tech University interested in visiting China during Spring Break 2012 is invited to an informational session hosted by the College of Business on Tuesday, Aug. 30.

The meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Rothwell Hall 211.

The trip, which will run from March 15-25, 2012, will include visits to the Great Wall of China (photographed), the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.

Members of the tour group will also explore a Hyundai robotics plant and Beijing National Stadium, which hosted events during the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Students can earn upper level credits in economics, management or marketing by taking courses that coincide with the trip during the spring 2012 semester.

Cost for the trip is $3,000, which includes airfare, hotel, ground transportation, three meals per day, tours, entrance fees, a visa and insurance. Those making the trip will be responsible for their passports and spending money.
