MARCOMM Earns 12 CASE District Awards

University Marketing and Communication (MARCOMM) at Arkansas Tech University captured 12 awards — including six Gold recognitions — in the 2019 CASE District IV competition.

The full team earned Gold honors for its publication design series in support of the ATU enrollment funnel, its ATU pennant in the specialty advertising products category, its “ATU More Than” web specialty sub site and the redesign of www.atu.edu.

ATU MARCOMM earned full team 2019 CASE District IV Bronze accolades for its “More Than” advertising campaign and the home page for www.atu.edu.

Carrie Phillips serves as interim director of MARCOMM. She is joined on the team by Liz Chrisman, director of photography services; Brandi Collins, licensing, branding and editorial manager; Tera Simpson, front-end web developer; Michael Stoker, senior web developer; Ryan Taylor, video production manager; Liz Underwood, creative services manager; and Felisha Weaver, director of publications and creative services.

“Our team in MARCOMM continues to produce marketing content in-house that stacks up against the best in higher education,” said Dr. Blake Bedsole, ATU vice president for enrollment management. “It is wonderful to see our staff recognized for their outstanding work over the past year.”

Individual 2019 CASE District IV accolades for ATU MARCOMM included Taylor winning a Gold award for creative use of digital/social media and Chrisman earning a Gold award for athletics color photography. Underwood claimed a Silver honor in the brochures/flyers/booklets category in recognition of an ATU student involvement guide. Collins won a Bronze award for her feature story about Dr. Efosa Idemudia.

Chrisman and Underwood were lauded for their work on a printed piece for ATU admitted students (Silver) and a printed student recruitment piece for ATU-Ozark Campus (Bronze).

CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) is an international association of educational institutions that consists of and serves professionals working in the alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and allied areas. CASE District IV includes institutions in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
