March 17 Deadline to Enter Grad Research Symposium

Cash prizes are available to eligible individuals who enter the 2021 Arkansas Tech University Graduate Student Research Symposium.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 7, and will feature a mix of in-person and virtual presentations. It will take place in Tomlinson Hall room 121 beginning at 6 p.m.

The symposium is open to any ATU graduate student who prepares a poster on a topic relevant to his or her studies, research that is currently being conducted or proposals for a future project. Completed research, research proposals and creative projects are among the categories of presentations.

Faculty, staff and students will provide the presenters with feedback during the symposium and a panel of judges will select the winning entries.

According to information provided by the ATU Graduate College, students learning remotely, online students and individuals who wish to maintain social distancing may participate by submitting a virtual poster with a recorded five-minute video summary. Posters must be submitted in PDF format.

Prizes of $200 for first place, $150 for second place and $100 for third place will be awarded in each category.

Applications to participate in the symposium must be received by the ATU Graduate College on or before Wednesday, March 17.
