Luncheon Honoring Professionals Planned

The Arkansas Tech University Department of Continuing Education is currently accepting reservations for its sixth annual Administrative Professionals’ Day Seminar and Luncheon.  Organizers say the event is open to those in the River Valley and is a great way to thank administrative professionals for their contribution to the workplace.

The seminar and luncheon will take place at the Lake Point Conference Center on Wednesday, April 21.

The event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m., and organizers say those attending will be treated to lunch and the opportunity to win several door prizes.

The keynote address during the luncheon will be provided by Charlotte Strickland.  Strickland will discuss several components to providing top notch customer service.

Strickland has more than 25 years of higher education experience coordinating orientation, ethics and leadership courses.  In 2002, Strickland launched her own company, Strickly Speaking, and she now speaks to leaders on college campuses, churches, civic groups and corporations.

Lisa Cochran, director of continuing education, says the event has become a popular way to celebrate the efforts of office professionals.

“This year’s event will really show office professionals just how important they are,” adds Cochran.  “We hope to provide an enjoyable day of good food, learning and fun as we honor these important professionals.”

Tickets to attend the seminar and luncheon are $45 for the general public and $40 for Arkansas Tech faculty and staff.
