Arkansas Tech University’s Paty Loredo was named Great American Conference softball freshman of the week on Monday, March 26.
A product of Fort Worth, Texas, Loredo went 7-for-14 with two home runs, five runs batted in and five runs scored while helping the Golden Suns go 3-1 last week.
It was Loredo’s second GAC freshman of the week award. She was similarly honored on Feb. 5.
Arkansas Tech (23-9 overall, 14-6 GAC) will visit Ada, Okla., for a four-game GAC series against East Central University on Friday, March 30, and Saturday, March 31.
First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday.
