9:15 p.m.– Members of the Delta Zeta Sorority are presenting Dr. Collins with a gift basket.
9:10 p.m.– Miss Tech Lindsey Ahrens is performing a second song. We’ll have a new Miss Tech soon.
9:07 p.m.– All phases of competition are over, and it’s in the hands of the judges now. Miss Tech Lindsey Ahrens is performing again.
8:59 p.m.– We’re halfway through the evening gown portion of the competition.
8:51 p.m.– Up next is the evening gown competition. It’s the final phase of the competition this evening., and it accounts for 20% of the total score.
8:47 p.m.– The second half of the show is underway with Miss Tech Lindsey Ahrens performing “Mercy Said No.”
8:39 p.m.– Several former Miss Tech’s in the audience tonight including Candace Hodges Riner and Brandi O’Neal Rinke.
8:35 p.m.– Great group of talent. It’s now intermission. The pageant will continue in about 15 minutes.
8:31 p.m.– Savanna Knight is performing a tap dance routine to “Hot Honey Rag.”
8:29 p.m.– Erin Cooper is performing a baton twirling routine to “River Deep, Mountain High.”
8:25 p.m.– Courtney Mitchell is taking the stage, and she’s performing “Alleluia.”
8:20 p.m.– Kim Gillette is performing a clogging routine to a melody of songs.

7:58 p.m.– Dr. Collins is talking about some of the great supporters of Miss Tech. The 2011 Miss Tech will have a fantastic year.
7:57 p.m.– The talent competition is beginning. Tina Phouthavong is performing a vocal solo.
7:51 p.m.– Miss Tech Lindsey Ahrens is performing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
7:48 p.m.– The swimsuit competition is over, and Dr. Collins is recognizing the parents and grandparents of the contestants.
7:39 p.m.– The contestants are modeling their swimsuits, and this part of the competition is 15% of their total score.
7:33 p.m.– Miss Tech is performing “Umbrella.” The swimsuit competition is up next.
7:31 p.m.– Miss Tech and Miss Tech 2005 Brandi O’Neal Rinke are recognizing Dr. Collins for being named the Executive Director of the Year by the Miss Arkansas Organization.
7:25 p.m.– We have heard all the questions, and Dr. Collins is currently introducing the judges.
7:23 p.m.– Lindsey Ahrens is asking Savanna Knight about living history.
7:21 p.m.– Courtney Mitchell is explaining the signs of substance abuse.
7:18 p.m.– Lindsey Ahrens is asking Lisa Beth Harst about how to raise awareness about depression.
7:15 p.m.– Brandi Cromer is answering a question about her critical issue.
7:12 p.m.– Lindsey Ahrens is asking Naiz Bolin about being a Saints and a Falcons fan.
7:11 p.m.– Lindsey Ahrens and her princess were just welcomed to the stage.
7:06 p.m.– We are meeting the contestants. These are 12 beautiful ladies. I would not want to be the judges this evening.
7:05 p.m.– Dr. Jim Collins is welcoming everyone.
7:03 p.m.– Miss Tech Lindsey Ahrens is singing the National Anthem.
6:50 p.m.– It’s about 10 minutes until the pageant gets underway. The auditorium is filling up and lots of people with posters and signs to support their favorite contestant.
6:08 p.m.– Several members of the Delta Zeta Sorority here and finishing last minute preparations. Showtime soon!
11:01 a.m.– The Miss Tech Pageant is set to begin at 7 p.m., and ArkansasTechNews.com will begin blogging before the pageant begins.
The cost to attend is $8 for adults, $3 for children or free for those with a valid Tech identification card.
