Wonder Boys fans will enjoy a day on the golf course in support of Arkansas Tech football at the 2011 Link It Up Golf Tournament on Friday, April 8, at Russellville Country Club.

Cost for the four-man scramble tournament will be $100 per person. Lunch will be served at 11:15 a.m. There will be a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The tournament is open to any and all fans of Arkansas Tech football.

"We, the coaching staff, are dedicated to building a first-class football program," said Steve Mullins, director of athletics and head football coach at Arkansas Tech. "This event will help us accomplish that by fostering relationships with Tech alumni and supporters and by creating additional avenues to increase revenue. Our Link It Up Tournament is an opportunity to bring together a group of people committed to making the Wonder Boys football program a dominant force in the Great American Conference."

Arkansas Tech is a charter member of the new NCAA Division II Great American Conference, which will begin competition in fall 2011.

Persons interested in participating in or sponsoring the Link It Up Tournament are asked to call Dean Norsworthy, offensive coordinator for the Arkansas Tech football program, at (479) 968-0351.
