Library Offers Audio and Video Editing Classes

Arkansas Tech University is offering several audio and video editing classes for Arkansas Tech faculty, staff and students.

Dr. Lowell Lybarger will be teaching the classes, and they are being offered in the Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center Music Lab.

Some of the topics covered include audio editing, video editing and audio mixing, and those wishing to enroll in a class must sign up in advance to participate.  To sign up, email Dr. Lybarger at llybarger@atu.edu .

The class schedule is as follows:

  • Saturday, February 27— Audio Editing

1-2 p.m. Introduction to Audacity 1.3.5 and Soundforge 9.0 (audio/wave editing)

3-4 p.m. Intermediate/Advanced Soundforge 9.0 (audio/wave editing)

  • Sunday, February 28— Audio Editing/Video Editing

2-3 p.m. Introduction to Audacity 1.3.5 and Soundforge 9.0 (audio/wave editing

3-4 p.m. Intermediate/Advanced Soundforge 9.0 (audio/wave editing)

5-6 p.m. Vegas 6.0 and DVD Architect 3 (video editing, DVD authoring)

6-7:30 p.m. p.m. Vegas 6.0 and DVD Architect 3 (video editing, DVD authoring)

  • Saturday, March 6 — Audio Mixing/Video Editing

1-3 p.m. Acid Pro (audio mixing)

3-4:30 p.m. Vegas 6.0 and DVD Architect 3 (video editing, DVD authoring)
