Arkansas Tech University students are invited to participate in an informational session on Wednesday, Sept. 20, concerning internships with The Washington Center.
The session will begin at 4 p.m. in Dr. Robert Charles Brown and Jill Lestage Brown Hall room 134. It will be led by Hannah Keane from The Washington Center.
Opportunities exist for ATU students to participate in full semester internships in Washington, D.C., for fall, spring and summer. Week-long internship opportunities are also available.
“There is some state legislative funding for ATU students with Arkansas residency to do these internships that can cover as much as half of a full semester program or all of a week long program,” said Dr. Michael Rogers, ATU professor of political science.
According to its website, The Washington Center “provides immersive internships and academic seminars to students from hundreds of colleges and universities and young professionals from across the U.S. and more than 25 countries.”
More than 60,000 TWC alumni have earned career opportunities in fields such as law, education, social work, medicine, journalism, diplomacy, business and politics.
