Learn About Becoming a Candidate for Miss Tech 2020

Eligible Arkansas Tech University students interested in learning more about the 2020 Miss Arkansas Tech University scholarship competition are invited to attend an informational session on Thursday, Jan. 16.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in Brown Hall room 147. Dr. Jim Collins, Miss Tech executive director, and Kara Dickens, Miss Tech 2019, will lead the session and be available to answer questions.

It is not mandatory that an individual attend this meeting in order to enter the competition.

The 65th annual Miss Tech competition is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7, 2020. Categories of competition will be interview, talent, on-stage interview and social impact/evening wear.

The event is an official Miss America preliminary, and the winner will be a candidate in the 2020 Miss Arkansas competition.

Candidates for Miss Tech must be full-time female ATU students between the ages of 17 and 25.

The new Miss Tech will receive a two-semester tuition scholarship at Arkansas Tech. In all, more than $23,000 in gifts and scholarships were awarded during Miss Tech 2019.
