Leadership Franklin County deadline May 18

Persons interested in making a difference for the future of Franklin County have a unique opportunity, but only a limited amount of time to sign up.

The deadline to apply for a membership in Leadership Franklin County – whether for yourself or someone else – is Friday, May 18.

A non-profit organization housed at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus, Leadership Franklin County develops current and emerging leaders to work together to serve the good of Franklin County.

It provides four basic services to the communities and members: leadership development, in-depth knowledge of the county, community impact projects and networking.

Director Marci Gage said the nine-month program, which is in its first year of existence, is looking for highly motivated existing and up-and-coming leaders to help pave the way for future classes

“We’re looking for a diversity of applicants to represent all walks of life in Franklin County,” she said. “Anyone interested is encouraged to apply or nominate someone they think would benefit from this kind of experience.”

Applications, nomination forms and other information, including costs and a schedule of events, is available at www.atu.edu/ozark/lfc, or calling Gage at (479) 508-3371 or e-mailing her at mgage@atu.edu.
