While many students are relaxing today, the 2011-2012 orientation leaders are spent the morning learning about their role as orientation leaders.
The leaders will help with orientation sessions and activities for new students during the summer and before classes begin each fall and spring.
The orientation leaders were selected earlier this spring through an interview process, and they will help lead six sessions throughout the summer, including two overnight sessions.
Organizers say orientation leaders are some of the first people new freshmen will meet on the Tech campus and their role as a friendly face is crucial. The orientation leaders will have a second training session later this month.
