Professionals from across the River Valley will be recognized today during the sixth annual Administrative Professionals’ Day Seminar and Luncheon. The event is designed to honor the contribution of area professionals to the workplace.
The sold out seminar and luncheon is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Lake Point Conference Center, and those attending the event will be entered for the chance to win several door prizes that will be awarded throughout the program.
During the luncheon, Charlotte Strickland will give a keynote address about ways professionals can provide top notch customer service.
Strickland has more than 25 years of higher education experience coordinating orientation, ethics and leadership courses. In 2002, Strickland launched her own company, Strickly Speaking, and she now speaks to leaders on college campuses, churches, civic groups and corporations.
Lisa Cochran, director of continuing education, says the event has become a popular way to celebrate the efforts of office professionals.
“This event is always full, and we’ve work hard to show this year’s professionals just how important they are,” adds Cochran. “We hope to provide an enjoyable day of good food, learning and fun as we honor these important professionals.”
