Arkansas Tech University student Tyler Lachowsky has been named the 2015-16 student of the year in the Department of Emergency Management.
Lachowsky is completing his undergraduate degree, and he a currently serves as a deputy director for the Faulkner County Office of Emergency Management.
He was presented the award during an emergency management and homeland security conference at Arkansas Tech.
