Arkansas Tech University student Katie Ferren is the newest Tech Idol. Ferren clinched the title during Thursday night’s competition.
Ferren took home the title and a $500 prize for her rendition of “Soldier,” a piece she wrote for her boyfriend.
Chris Turner took home the second place and wins $300, while Melisa Musick wins $200 for a third place finish.
Rounding out the top six finalists are Keely Sattazahn, Logan Brothers and Landen Crouch. All six will have the opportunity to take part in a meet-and-greet with Ben Rector Friday evening at Arkansas Tech.
