Juried Student Competitive Opens Next Week

 

Art students at Arkansas Tech finished turned in works of art last week in hopes of being selected for the 5th Annual Juried Student Competitive.

The juror is Dawn Holder, Assistant Professor of Art at the University of the Ozarks.

The show will premiere to the public next Thursday, Nov. 10. The opening reception and awards presentation will be Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 3 p.m.

The first place winner will receive $150, second place will receive $100, and third place will receive $75. Additionally, two honorable mention winners will be the recipients of a $30 gift card, one to Hobby Lobby and one to the Arkansas Tech Bookstore.

The show will be open to the public until Wednesday, Nov. 30. Admission is free. The gallery is open 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

All works that were not included in the exhibit must be picked up from the Art Conference Room by Friday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m.
