Junior high students are beginning their first full day of study at Arkansas Tech University as part of the 2012 Junior High Band Camp.
The annual camp runs through Saturday.
Students participating in the camp auditioned yesterday for placement in one of the camp’s bands and spent the day getting acclimated to the Arkansas Tech campus.
Today, the students will begin attending multiple rehearsals each day including sectionals, all-band practices and technique classes.
The camp ends on Saturday with a final concert from each band showcasing what the students have learned throughout the week.
