Arkansas Tech University’s Lexie Johnston was named Great American Conference volleyball offensive player of the week on Monday, Oct. 23.
Johnston made 24 kills and had a hitting percentage of .564 in league wins over Oklahoma Baptist University and Southern Nazarene University last week.
A freshman from Nixa, Mo., Johnston leads the GAC and ranks fifth in NCAA Division II in hitting percentage (.404) this season.
The nationally 12th-ranked Golden Suns (26-0 overall, 11-0 Great American Conference) will face Central Baptist College for a 6 p.m. non-conference match in Conway on Monday, Oct. 23.
