Jersey Auction to Benefit Special Olympics

Members of the Arkansas Tech University volleyball team will show their support for Special Olympics during their Great American Conference match against Harding University tonight (Tuesday, Oct. 30).

Members of the Arkansas Tech University volleyball team will show their support for Special Olympics during their Great American Conference match against Harding University tonight (Tuesday, Oct. 30).

First serve for the match is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Tucker Coliseum. Admission will be free.

The Golden Suns will wear jerseys displaying the Special Olympics logo during the match. Members of the Arkansas Tech Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will conduct a silent auction beginning at 6:30 p.m. and running through the end of the second set for fans wishing to bid on the jerseys.

Cash, check or credit card will be accepted from fans that successfully bid on the jerseys. Fans not attending the match can also bid by calling (479) 968-0345 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Special Olympics, which is the primary charitable beneficiary of Tech Athletics during the 2012-13 academic year.
