It's Time for International Education Week

The Arkansas Tech University International and Multicultural Student Services Office is planning a week filled with events to celebrate International Education Week 2014, which is scheduled for Nov. 17-21. International student enrollment at Arkansas Tech has grown by 313 percent over the past decade, increasing from 109 international students in fall 2004 to 450 international students in fall 2014. In addition to the events listed above, the Arkansas Tech IMSSO will also sponsor an international photo contest as part of International Education Week 2014. The photography contest is open to all Arkansas Tech students. The theme of the competition is “Home Away From Home.” Participants are encouraged to submit photos that reflect their sense of feeling at home. Photos for the contest may be submitted via e-mail to lingmire@atu.edu. Deadline for submission is Wednesday, Nov. 19. Winners will be announced during the International Festival and Talent Expo on Nov. 21.
