Ishimura to Continue IRS Lectures March 8

Manami Ishimura, the first artist in residence in Arkansas Tech University history, will present the Friday, March 8, edition of the ATU Interdisciplinary Research Series.

Ishimura will give a lecture entitled “Uncertain Boundaries” from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in Dr. Robert Charles Brown and Jill Lestage Brown Hall room 134. The event will be open to all members of the university community.

Ishimura is a native of Tokyo, Japan. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Tama University in Japan and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Wichita Falls Museum of Art, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, Tama Art University Gallery and Ginza Seido Gallery are among the places where her art has been placed on exhibition.
