Arkansas Tech students have until Friday to register for the fall “Invest in Yourself Series” series of workshops.
The three-part series provides students with information on a variety of topics to help them find a position after graduation.
Dr. David Boop at Norman Career Services says the workshops cover topics including resumes, interviewing and etiquette. He says the workshops are designed to provide students with skills and advice they will need to conduct a successful job hunt.
The complete schedule for the “Invest in Yourself Series” includes:
- Interviewing Skills & Resume Workshop
Dates: Monday, October 4, at 3:00 p.m. or Thursday, October 7, at 3:00 p.m.
Location: Doc Bryan Lecture Hall - Professional Image and Interview Process
Dates: Wednesday, October 20, at 3:00 p.m.
Location: Doc Bryan Student Services Building Room 242 - Business Etiquette and Networking
Dates: Monday, November 8, at 5:30 p.m.
Location: Williamson Hall Dining Room
The sessions are open to all students regardless of classification. Dr. Boop says many juniors and seniors attend, but he encourages freshmen and sophomores to attend and start planning for the job hunt.
