Arkansas Tech University students have the opportunity to win a $500 prize as part of International Women’s Day 2014. Hosted by the Office of Student Life, the essay contest will showcase how students plan to prepare for a career in their chosen career field. The topic for the essay contest is “What have you gained from your college experience that will benefit you as you enter the workforce?” Entrants should submit an original essay. Essays should be typed, double-spaced and no more than 750-words. All entries must be submitted online through Student Life page on theLink. Eligible submissions should be turned in before 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24. The winning entry will be announced at a Women in the Workplace Luncheon, which is taking place at Arkansas Tech on Friday, March 7.
