International Students Volunteer at Crawford Elementary

Arkansas Tech University international students are making a difference in the River Valley.

International students at Arkansas Tech recently volunteered at Crawford Elementary to help spruce up the facility.

The students helped with painting and other repairs needed as part of the IMSSO Gives Back program.

IMSSO Gives Back is a program at Arkansas Tech, which is designed to provide opportunities for international students to get involved in the community approximately once a month.

“The community service projects have been very popular, with more students participating each month,” Kristina Mariswamy said. She is a graduate assistant for the office who coordinates the community service events.

The International and Multicultural Student Services Office is dedicated to providing student support services to enhance the college experience of international and multicultural students.
