International students visited the L. V. Williamson Boys and Girls Club in Russellville Friday afternoon to spend time with area children and give back to the community.
Visiting the Boys and Girls Club was the first event of the spring semester in a series of events called “IMSSO Gives Back.”
This is the fourth semester for the program to provide opportunities for international students to get involved and play an active role in the community approximately once a month.
“The community service projects have been very popular, with more students participating each month,” Kristina Mariswamy said. Mariswamy is a graduate assistant for the International and Multicultural Student Services Office.
The International and Multicultural Student Services Office is dedicated to providing student support services to enhance the college experience of international students.
