The Arkansas Tech University International and Multicultural Student Services Office will celebrate International Education Week with a week of events beginning November 16-20.
The week is held to celebrate the important role international students play offering a complete learning experience for all students at Arkansas Tech.

Monday, Nov. 16:
International Fashion Show
- Noon-1 p.m. in Doc’s Place
- See apparel from the various countries represented at Arkansas Tech
India Night/Diwali Festival of Lights
- 6-8 p.m. in the Young Ballroom
- Enjoying dancing, singing and a variety of Indian food
Tuesday, Nov. 17:
International Film Festival
- 1-10 p.m. in the Doc Bryan Lecture Hall
- Watch award-winning films from across the globe
Wednesday, Nov. 18:
World on Wednesday – Global Connect
- 12-1 p.m. in Room 202 of the Baswell Techionery
- Discuss cultural topics, current events and learn about Global Connect

Thursday, Nov. 19:
International Perspectives
- 12-1 p.m. in the Baswell Techionery
- Student panel discusses practices and customs around the world
JapaNight
- 6-8 p.m. in the Doc Bryan Rotunda
- Celebrate Japan with interactive activities and Japanese cuisine
Friday, Nov. 20:
International Festival and Talent Expo
- 6-9 p.m. in the Doc Bryan Lecture Hall
- International students will showcase talents from across the globe
In addition to the events listed above, the Arkansas Tech IMSSO will sponsor an international photo contest as part of International Education Week.
The photography contest is open to all Tech students, and the theme of the competition is “Travel Fever.” Participants are encouraged to submit photos that reflect their sense of adventure. The deadline for the photo submission is Wednesday, Nov. 11. Winners will be announced during the International Festival and Talent Expo on Friday, Nov. 20.
