International Education Week Events Scheduled

During November 14 through 18, Arkansas Tech University will be celebrating International Education Week 2011.

On Monday, Nov. 14, students will present the International Fashion Show. Traditional clothing from around the world will be featured from noon to 1 p.m. in the Baswell Techionery.

On Tuesday, Nov. 15, “International Perspectives: Growing Up Around the World” introduces a panel of international students to discuss their experiences growing up. Topics will include daily routine, roles of education, popular childhood games and stories and their memory of world events.

On Wednesday, Nov. 16 , students are invited to participate in an International Trivia Competition in the Doc Bryan Lecture Hall.

On Thursday, Nov. 17 there will be a 50 Minute Tour of Saudi Arabia by student Jala Albaqshi from noon to 1 p.m. in the Doc Bryan Lecture Hall.

On Friday, Nov. 18, the International Festival and Talent Expo will be from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Doc Bryan Lecture Hall.

Additionally, a photo contest themed “Growing Up” is also being sponsored with the grand prize winner receiving $100. Read more about the contest.
