Inclement Weather Changes Academic Schedule

The administration at Arkansas Tech University – Ozark Campus recently announced that due to the unprecedented weather and subsequent cancellations, and in order to ensure that our students have demonstrated their learning, it is necessary that we utilize Reading Day (3 May) as an instructional day.  All other accomodations should be handled by individual faculty members, and, when appropriate, by offering extended learning opportunities via the internet or additional lab/study hours.

The Ozark campus has had to close campus five and a half days due to to the recent snow and ice that covered the region. With over six inches locally and greater depths to the north, all area schools were closed most of last week due to the hazardous driving conditions. Temperatures plunged to five degrees on the 10th and 11th, breaking the 1899 record of six degrees both days, reports the local media outlets.
