The Arkansas Tech Department of Health and Physical Education will sponsor the Hoops for Heart fundraiser at Arkansas Tech on Thursday, April 22.
The annual event features several basketball competitions and is a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. This year’s festivities include a 3-on-3 basketball contest, a dunk contest, a hot shot contest and a 3-point contest.
Those wishing to pre-register for the event may do so by stopping by the Hull Building Room 100. Registration will also be taking place from 2-3 p.m. on the day of the event, and the festivities are scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
Those participating in the event will have the opportunity to win t-shirts and prizes that will be given away throughout the evening.
The cost to participate in the 2010 Hoops for Heart event is $5 per team member for the 3-on-3 tournament, $3 for one mini-game or $5 for two mini-games. Organizers say the money collected during the event will be donated to the American Heart Association.
