The Arkansas Tech Student Government Association will be hosting the annual Homecoming Blood Drive today and Thursday 
from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Doc Bryan Room 242.
The goal for the blood drive is to collect more than 200 units of blood. To assist in meeting that goal, Red Cross will be bring the double red cell machines.
“O negative is universal blood can take care of everyone so there’s a great need for it, but at the same time there’s not a blood drop we don’t need,” said Darren Shaw, blood recruiter for Red Cross.
If you have questions about whether or not you are eligible to give blood, visit the Red Cross website for a list of requirements. If you are still unsure, you may visit with a representative at the blood drive.
If students know they are ineligible but still want to help, they should contact SGA Secretary of Community Outreach Derick McKinney at dmckinney3@atu.edu to schedule a time to volunteer.
