Arkansas Tech University student Kristen Hayes was crowned the 2011 Arkansas State Fair Queen Saturday evening in Little Rock.
Hayes is from Ozark and is a junior health and physical education major at Arkansas Tech.
She was named the Pope County Fair Queen earlier this fall and earned the right to compete in the state pageant.
During preliminary state competition, she was named as a regional finalist and the overall interview award winner.
To win the crown, Hayes competed in private interview, active wear, on-stage question, and evening gown Saturday evening.
