Hall Government Applications Due Today

Students interested in playing an active role in their residence hall have an opportunity to represent their peers by joining hall government.

Each hall has a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and intramural coordinator. Some halls have added officers such as the game coordinator at Vista Place and publicity coordinators at Baswell Hall and Wilson Hall.

Additionally, there is one community senator per resident assistant to represent a floor, wing or section of a hall. These representatives are responsible for reporting what’s going on with the atmosphere of their area.

Students can pick up applications in their halls. They should be submitted to the resident director by 8 p.m. today.

Hall government elections will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6 and Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 6-8 p.m. in the respective residence halls. Students are only allowed to vote in the hall in which they live.

Election winners will be announced at an RHA event set for Thursday, Sept. 8.
