Half-Price Admission Available Monday

The good deed of donating one or more non-perishable food items at the door will be rewarded on Monday, Feb. 14, when Arkansas Tech University hosts Christian Brothers University for a Gulf South Conference basketball doubleheader at Tucker Coliseum.

Fans who make the donation will receive discount  admission ($5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens) to the games, which will begin with the women’s contest at 5:30 p.m. and continue with the start of the men’s game at 7:30 p.m.

As is always the case for regular season home games, those with a valid Tech identification card will be admitted free. Arkansas Tech students, faculty and staff are still encouraged to bring one or more canned food items for donation.

All of the food collected on Monday will be donated to the Arkansas Rice Depot as part of the Arkansas Tech Athletics Department’s year-long “Project: Feed Arkansas” campaign.

Fans will have an opportunity to participate in a silent auction during the doubleheader. All proceeds will go to the Arkansas Rice Depot.

Arkansas Tech is nationally-ranked in both men’s and women’s basketball.

The Wonder Boys (17-3 overall, 8-0 GSC) have won 11 consecutive games and are in sole possession of first place in the GSC West Division men’s basketball standings.

The Golden Suns (18-2, 7-1) have won 30 consecutive home games and hold a share of first place in the GSC West women’s standings.
