Hale Finishes Top 10 at Derrall Foreman

Arkansas Tech’s Parker Hale posted a 36-hole total of 1-under 143 this weekend to finish in a tie for ninth at the Derrall Foreman Invitational at Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Miss.

Hale (photographed) shot 71 in the first round on Friday and 72 in the final round on Saturday. Jake Greer of North Alabama won the individual title by one stroke after shooting 66-68 for a 10-under total of 134.

The Wonder Boys had team scores of 295 and 303 for a 598 total. Tech finished ninth among a 12-team field. North Alabama (277-273-550) won the team title by 24 strokes over runner-up Delta State.

Slade Hames (T-29th, 73-77-150), Rowdy Garrett (T-32nd, 74-77-151), Colton Dillard (T-43rd, 77-77-154) and Graham Rucker (T-60th, 81-79-160) also contributed to Arkansas Tech’s team score.

Zack O’Rieley (T-17th, 73-73-146), Kyle Barton (T-54th, 78-80-158) and Sam Cooper (T-57th, 82-77-159) represented the Wonder Boys as individuals only.

Arkansas Tech will be in Tulsa, Okla., on Monday and Tuesday for the Northeastern State University Golf Classic.
