Griffin to Lead COB Student Success Center

Brandie Griffin has been selected to serve as the first director for the Arkansas Tech University College of Business Student Success Center, a new initiative that will help Arkansas Tech business students sharpen their professional skills and prepare for their careers.

“The College of Business Student Success Center will reflect the overall mission of Arkansas Tech University, which is to provide students with the tools they need to persist to graduation,” said Dr. Ed Bashaw, dean of the Arkansas Tech College of Business. “Our faculty members provide Arkansas Tech business students with an outstanding classroom experience. The College of Business Student Success Center will build upon that solid foundation and ensure that our students have the skills necessary to succeed in both college and the business world.”

Among the services that will be offered by the Arkansas Tech College of Business Student Success Center will be specialized academic advising for business students, personal development in areas such as professionalism and etiquette, connections to internships and information about career opportunities.

“The College of Business Student Success Center will be very customer service focused,” said Griffin. “We exist to help College of Business students stay on track to graduate in four years with a great degree that will allow them to begin a rewarding career.”

Griffin (photographed) earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Arkansas Tech in 2004 and a Master of Science degree from Tech in 2009.
