Arkansas Tech University had an athletics season for the ages during the 2009-10 academic year. The Wonder Boys and the Golden Suns rolled up a school-record 161 victories, sent nine teams to postseason play and placed 63 student-athletes on the Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll last year. Arkansas Tech will seek to carry that momentum over to 2010-11, and one of the first steps in that process is recruiting members for the Green and Gold Club. Green and Gold membership is open to any Arkansas Tech fan and provides the university with critical auxiliary funding for its 10 intercollegiate athletic programs. “As the cost of scholarships, travel and equipment increases, so does the importance of the Green and Gold Club,” said Kelly Davis, director of athletic relations. “The gifts that our alumni and friends make to Green and Gold allow us to provide our coaches and student-athletes with tools that they need to compete and represent our university with distinction.” Green and Gold members receive a variety of benefits based upon giving levels. Benefits can include tickets to regular season home athletic events and admission to hospitality areas at home football and basketball games.
