“Greek Madness” begins today with a softball tournament at 5 p.m. at Pleasant View Park in Russellville. Crews from each fraternity and sorority will play each other to determine a winner by the end of the evening.
Greeks in attendance who are not playing softball are invited to participate in a pie eating contest or several other competitions to gain individual points.
Indoor “Game Night” will be tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the Young Ballroom. Teams will play a jeopardy-style game consisting of questions about Greek life and many other topics.
On Wednesday, members of all Greek organizations on campus will come together to engage in community service from 6-8 p.m. in the Young Ballroom. Greeks have teamed with three local schools to provide backpacks full of snacks and goodies for children in need.
The new “Greek Battle” will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Crews have been created to encourage Greeks to build relationships within the community. They were provided with a playlist of songs, and they will find out at the Greek Battle which one they will be performing.
The week of events will culminate with an awards ceremony on Friday, April 20, at 6 p.m. in Tucker Coliseum.
Arkansas Tech Greeks participate in this variety of activities throughout the week that promote philanthropy, community and fun and friendly competition.
